 INTRODUCTION

Dabistan-e-Fun is a Not for Profit and Non-Government Organization, also working as one of the leading theatre groups of Karachi arose in Theatre world in the year 1995. DF’s branches spreads in many directions of Performing and Visual Arts, be it Theatre, Dance, Music and Fine Arts, Dabistan-e-Fun will always be there to enhance the performance and performer.

 A dedicated gentleman Mr. Shahid Rehman founded with the aims to be a part of collective effort to bring reform in the moral and cultural values of our society, bring awareness for education and international issues such as aids, child labour and Human Rights through the most dominated and world’s first communicative medium Theatre. 

On the platform of theatre Dabistan-e-Fun showed many shades and performances of Theatre to the audience such as Street Theatre, Mime Shows, Proscenium Style and Arena Theatre. Dabistan-e-Fun also has a pride to be a part of Antigone, the world’s oldest plays with Karachi’s English Theatre Legend Mr. Ali Khan.

At present Dabistan-e-Fun is associated with Pakistan’s first Theatre Association “Theatre Network” and jointly working to uplift Social & Educational Theatre in Pakistan as was the time when theatre was a successful medium in the early years of Pakistan. 

Since its perception Dabistan-e-Fun strived to meet its goals with success and presented good number of workshops for Theatre and Fine Arts in collaboration with Pakistan American Cultural Centre, Arts Council of Pakistan, Pakistan National Council of the Arts, Pakistan Association of the Deaf and Theatre Network.

DF aims to see the horizon of successful Performing Arts and Artists in Pakistan through hard work and continued dedication.
